Opportunities to Serve
For those interested in coming for a field visit, our biggest service opportunities are the two youth conferences. They are held back-to-back in October. That means Lisu conference runs for four days. Then, we turn right around the next day and put on a completely different conference geared toward the youth homes. We can always use help from people willing to lead small groups, teach workshops, serve food and serve as dorm parents for the youth at night.
Our vision for these conferences is to expand them both in frequency and length of time per event. To do so will require not just more funds and facilities in the future, but also servants of God who are willing to sacrifice their time and energy to give these youth a new hope and firmer faith by coming and being a part of the ministry.
Other opportunities to serve include: help with extracurricular and group activities during O-NET camps, English teaching (both one-time camps and daily teaching), and leadership training. We are also open to people and groups coming “just to visit” us, as well as see the different work being done.
